Paleo is a way of living and eating that mimics our Paleolithic ancestors.
The Paleo diet (I will be calling it The Paleo Way, for use of better wording) is about eating plants and animals.
It’s about MAXIMIZING NUTRIENTS:
Protein
Fats
Carbs
Vitamins
Minerals
Antioxidants
and MINIMIZING TOXINS From:
Grains
Processed foods
Added sugar
Legumes
Dairy
That’s done by….
-Eating vegetables and fruits that haven’t been exposed to pesticides.
-Eating animals that have been allowed to live in their natural habitat and not in restricted pens where they are forced to eat grains laced with antibiotics and hormones.
-Eating fish and crustaceans that are wild caught and not farm raised.
-Avoiding the foods which contain toxins that lead to LEAKY GUT SYNDROME.
Those foods are:
All grains
Legumes, peanuts, and soy
Processed foods and added sugar
Dairy
Trans Fats and Hydrogenated vegetable oils
Each of these offenders contain various toxins that work to create a false pathway from the gut to the bloodstream. This allows undigested food particles, waste products, bacteria, pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics to flood the bloodstream and initiate the immune system to begin an attack. The Paleo Way is eating the foods that our digestive tract was designed to best metabolize nutrients, eliminate waste, and give our bodies the opportunity to live a long healthy and happy life.
