-The United States is the most obese nation in the world.

-We in the Western world have seen an explosion of diseases directly related to our consumption of the Standard American Diet (it’s not ironic that the acronym is SAD).

-In the SAD, the greatest proportion of calories come from grains, refined and processed foods, and added sugar.

-These foods are known to be toxic to our bodies yet they are still found on countless shelves with colorful packaging that are often marketed to sound healthy.

-These foods have been shown to create a false pathway from the gut to the bloodstream allowing an influx of other offending foreign substances like pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, preservatives, and more to follow along.  This is called Leaky Gut Syndrome.

-This results in a battle with our immune system.

It attacks with a vengeance. However, in their haste to rid the body of these toxins they also take out healthy cells, which become collateral damage.

-When the influx of these toxins occur time after time, day after day, the immune system is left in an inflammatory state.

-This results in a medical term called Chronic Inflammatory Disease.

-Chronic Inflammatory Disease leads to Autoimmune Disorders.

-There are at least 35 named autoimmune disorders.

-In spite of this scientific knowledge being out there, our government subsidized the farming of these harmful products.  The bottom line is that it allows these products to make their way to the grocery shelves at dirt cheap prices.

-If the government would subsidize organic farming and the farming of livestock and fowl in a pasture environment, more families could have these products on their shelves and in their fridge!  But that’s me on my soapbox so I’ll step down…..

-Most of these autoimmune diseases related to chronic inflammation can be reversed by allowing the gut to heal and let the false pathways close up.
